"I have become so reliant on my spouse and learned that when people are helping, they are showing they love you."

With family history, I thought I knew all I needed to know. Different generations have different perspectives. I didn’t know chemo was going to weaken me up to a year later, or that would have to self inject needles for my WBC*. I felt vain, due to not only hair loss, but face changes. Not all cancers are a death sentence. It is different for everyone, we don’t all look or react the same. Decisions are yours, but don’t forget the family it ripple-effects too. I have become so reliant on my spouse and learned that when people are helping, they are showing they love you.

*A WBC count is a blood test to measure the number of white blood cells (WBCs) in the blood.
