"I want others to know that they are not alone and that there are millions of people dedicated to helping them."
Cancer has impacted my family first and I understand what it is like to be a family member and friend. On the other side, I work tirelessly every day to try and help patient’s battle this ruthless disease in addition to comforting their family and friends. I have worked in labs, written research papers, given presentations, seen thousands of patients all in the hopes of having an impact on those affected by cancer. It is safe to say that cancer has changed my life in a big way.
I want people to know there are people working day and night to try and help our patients and improve what we can. Unfortunately it will take time, but no one is stopping the fight and no one is throwing in the towel. I want others to know that they are not alone and that there are millions of people dedicated to helping them, 2 am wake up calls to go to the hospital, family meetings/calls at midnight when you’re not on call, less sleep than you thought was possible. Hours of research, pursuing new therapies, trying to improve what is available.
